as posted iro saturday's home fixture against lakeside , we will have bridger suspended and no guest allowed . as we still use r/r [ hang your heads management ] we will be with only 5 riders again . some makeweight for lower division i suppose . how can the club be penalised twice  as they lost out when rider didnot turn up [ witholding his services ] , and now gets suspended for at least 28 days and the club not allowed a guest facility .it baulks common sense for a club to be so punished when they are not at fault .think we need bspa to do their job properly or engage a civil rights lawyer --- it is that farcical .  you couldn't make it up . hardly a suprise people are losing intrest .

Can we not get a guest for Floppy then?

I may be wrong here..... but when Pavlic was similarly banned for Swindons B fixture at Arlington weren't they allowed to use R/R for him?

If so I assume that a similar facility would be available for Lewis and we should get in a guest for Floppy.

hope our management are aware COUS ,seems the answer . but then what average will guest have , bridger's or team limit . this was why we only had 5 riders at belle vue , and management not aware  Idea  Question

Admin note : the reason for not using Complin had nothing to do with averages.  It was because it had been discovered Lewis was riding in Poland and thus witholding his services.

According to the OLR on the other side we have Complin as our guest and the usual r/r for Floppy.

but wasn't complin in breach of something on monday at aces ?! believe either rider averages [ he has to be lower than bridger ] or team points limit , find that hardv to believe . explanation of complin ok/not ok would be appreciated . can't have our management making the same mistake with the same rider , and same result--- when found out again on same error ---- 5 riders .really want to kinow details and legalities of this issue .
how can it be wrong at belle vue and ok at ipswich  Question
just one other question , with riders who have updated averages , floppy' are not i assumes , would floppy not be down at reserve when he rides again , simon would surely come up into the team inplace of one of the original top 5 ? ok , doing us a favour as simon could have 7 rides.
do hope we are not being treated as parker's mushrooms again Laughing

it's me again , ol' pain in the butt .if we have to have a lower league rider for bridger , is schramm available ? he is our number 8 , and was at ipswich all last season .on the face of it a better selection than complin surely .he scored reasonably there in the A fixture, oh no , don't tell me his average doesn't fit either  Idea  Question if so we will need a different number 8 Exclamation intresting post david , according to that  it was then known bridger was racing in poland . so it wasn't a points issue after all , and management gave complin the chance again to help out his loss of a booking on monday .still think schramm , if available , should have got it for the reasons already stated . since when were our two lords and masters starting to play " nice guys "? at last parker's mushrooms have got to see some daylight  Laughing

So Complin gets a second chance to score 0 points! Whilst I appreciate they maybe feel they 'owe' him after he couldn't ride Monday it seems the management have now given up Evil or Very Mad  Something only last week Bob said he couldn't do!

Finn replaces banned Bridger

By Brian Owen »

Eastbourne have called in Lakeside's Joonas Kylmakorpi to replace banned Lewis Bridger at Ipswich tomorrow.

The Lakeside rider guests for injured David Norris while the rider-replacement facility switches to Bridger, who starts a two-match ban.

As first revealed by The Argus today, Bridger was suspended for the Ipswich trip and Saturday's clash with Lakeside after missing Eastbourne's trip to Belle Vue on Monday, when he rode in Poland.

He has also been banned from overseas action for 14 days.

Eastbourne have fined their 19-year-old star £5,000, an amount to be collected in instalments and monitored by the BSPA.

Bridger does not feature for Czestochowa in their Ekstraliga clash with Gorzow tonight. The No.7 berth was taken by Tai Woffinden, who responded in style by winning the reserves' race.

Eagles are looking to replace their teenage ace with a big-name rider at home to Hammers and operate r/r for Norris.

Statement from Trevor tonight -I think it has just sunk in what most of the supporters have felt for the last few weeks:-
Trevor Geer admitted: “It was awful. We’re getting a bit worried.”
I am sure that the team are trying their best but there are too many mistakes and inconsistency throughout the team in these crunch meetings. Falls, engine failures and zero points from TRs. Tonight Davey beats Scott Nicholls then in the next race cannot beat Carl Wilkinson!
The two reserves are matched by two average premier league riders.  Lukas again looks as though he had another of those poor away meetings. He just managed to beat one Ipswich rider - a reserve.
I am really baffled by the way each meeting pans out -  we look as though there is a good chance to get some points and then within a few heats we totally collapse and end up losing  and sometimes as tonight getting hammered. Is the reason that it that there is no real leadership or is it just bad luck?
I used to go to most away meetings within a 150 miles. But now I pick and choose for fear of seeing another dismal display. I've become so disillusioned with the set up I'm even seriously considering not travelling to the home meetings. A 200 mile round trip to see a team where the promotion seem to have no respect for their supporters by giving endless fruitless speculation on team strengthening  is becoming a chore. I would not be surprised if Eastbourne end up where the 'experts' predicted - Bottom of the league.

We must have the most inconsistent set of riders ever put together in Elite League history.

We have a team made up of guys who one minute beat the oppositions top man, then the next minute get beaten by their no.7.

The only thing I can put it down to is the general air of apathy that has been spreading through the club over recent times.

And now Trevor seems to have finally woken up to what most of us have been saying for ages.......

Welcome to the real world Trevor!!

managers are supposed to manage , and their employers have to pick the right personnel for this and other positions in the company , whatever it is . trust , respect and co-operation are vital . if there is a customer base then good relationship with the customers is also vital .
well that says it all , ray's friend trevor and bullyboybob have none of these qualities , which destabilises every one , the employees with no leadership , trust or respect for or from the so-called management .it falls apart . the customers from apathy to  being disatisfied,  to deciding they have lost intrest and enthusiasm in the product and the company .all that remains now is for the customers now no longer buying the product to decide  is whether to shop elsewhere or cease wanting the product altogether unless there is a suitable replacement company.but this too may be govered by the same incompetent authority .
the employees and the management have to seek employment elsewhere also  , the customers have gone and the company is dead in the water .
think this is what we are saying . everyone are losers . Mad  Sad

Well said Ray.  I've stopped buying the product.  Patience has run out. I'll go to the Elite league pairs, and that will be it.  The way EB is run is an absolute disgrace.  Add to that the clowns that make up the BSPA.  If you wrote the script, it would be an extremely bad soap opera.
