The forum itself is free.

whereeaglesdaretofly.com is on my server and costs me about £60 per year. It is sponsored by "my firm" and I have a new client through it so it pays for itself.
whereeaglesdaretofly.co.uk is through bromleyboy and I don't know what it costs him but if he did not want to continue the url could be pointed to the .com server.

So cost is not a problem.
