I am sure all Eagles fans wish Floppy a speedy recovery. He has had a skin graft on his arm at the East Grinstead Hospital, he is due to be released today. It is going to be a while before he is back on the track. I would guess that he will not be able to do his job as an electrician while he is recovering. Will they have a collection for him and Simon our other long term injured rider, or have they stopped doing this. Question

A real shame to hear Floppy all but rule himself out for the rest of the season.

If only our Aussie contingent could show the same passion as him we might not be in the state we are now.

Are we in the running to sign Troy Batchelor (yes I know he's another Aussie!!) as a replacement for the rest of the season?

If we're not.... we certainly should be.

I would think that with him being based in the South, Eastbourne might be a more attractive proposition than facing a trip to Manchester for his home meetings.

According to Trevor they are serious about getting into the playoff places so they need to do something about replacing Floppy they cannot keep using rider replacement Troy would be the ideal replacement so they need to put their hands in their pockets, think they should think about replacing more than Floppy at least 2 riders need a kick up the backside or get rid. Alot of people will not keep paying to watch the current team thus losing more money. In the current climate if people think they are not get value for money then they won't attend and will spend their money elsewhere, certain people seem to forget a night out at the speedway is not a cheap night out!

Agree with you 100% SophiesMate.

I'm certainly not going to be spending upwards of £60 per meeting to watch certain antipodian prima donnas going through the motions for the rest of the season.

A decent replacement for Floppy must be found and either changes need to be made or certain riders need to make significant improvements.

Otherwise the season.... and possibly the future of the Eagles.... will just fizzle out in front of ever dwindling audiences.... and how sad would that be?

Not sure about anyone else but I can say I am not that impressed with the riders they have been looking at signing in Floppy's place - Mikael Max or Mark Loram! Mikael is riding or was riding in the PL so I guess most of our riders would be quite happy to ride with Mikael seeing as their level of riding is about the same level. I have never really been a fan of Mark Loram - he a nice guy but feel he is well and truly past his sell by date. Grzegorz Walasek might not be too bad, not sure how he gets on with small tracks. I don't know anything about Martin Vaculik is he any good? As usual we are trying to get the cheapest possible riders and then wonder why we are not in the playoff places.

Why is it we are charging more than other tracks Poole for instance the Family ticket is £4 cheaper, Concessions £1 cheaper Under 16s are £4 each. Does anyone know if any other tracks charge for parking? Would like to know what happens to the car parking money certainly not for the carpark up keep maybe it was to pay for the two sheds???

Have not been to many away meetings in last few years but I do know you pay to park at Poole and Arena is free.
