There is a saying "If it is ain't broke, don't fix it. We have a very happy winning team. Bringing in another rider, it does make sense, as the rider in question would have to learn the track. At least with the team we have at present, they all have ridden on the away tracks.
Probably Bobs method of team management in instilling a determination to win in Ricky Kling
Hope it is initially short term replacement for Floppy so that we can see if he can ride Arlington and how reliable he proves. Subject to that a good move. _________________ front page http://www.whereeaglesdaretofly.com

Pretty sure that's the plan. We can do this without redeclaring and it makes sense.
kling is getting there . seems wrong to consider him going .why not get russian in as at least temporary replacement for floppy , and see how things go . no hurry . just imagine if some one else gets injured an we have let somebody go . that could take us back to present situation . sods law -- it could happen . up to management , but why take unecessary gamble at this time .?!
we could dispense with r/r and keep scramm at number 8 . whoever goes down to reserve when new averages come in , will be better than scramm . he is useful , but we do have better riders. we need all round strenght , which we have when we have the full team . floppy may well be out for a couple of more months . we have time , use it . :idea:just expounding , and agreeing with previous posts here .
Eagles give Gizatullin a deadline

Eastbourne have told Denis Gizatullin to race against Belle Vue next month or forget about becoming an Eagle this year.
Arlington boss Bob Dugard is lining up the Russian champion to fill in for injured David Norris as Eagles attempt to keep their play-off push on course.
Gizatullin has a prior commitment on June 6, when Eagles next race at home against star-studded Coventry Bees.
The following home fixture is against Belle Vue on June 20 and Dugard has demanded Gizatullin confirm he can race in that one.
If he cannot, Eagles have lined up another potential overseas signing they can bring in on a four-point average.
Dugard said: “I’ve given Denis an ultimatum. We need to know in the next two or three days whether he can ride on the 20th.”
Norris has been ruled out for at least six more weeks by an arm injury.
When he is replaced by Gizatullin or the other new rider, Ricky Kling will move into the main body of the team.
Kling’s greensheet average has increased from 4.90 to 5.08 over the first 12 league meetings of the season, despite a slow start.
Simon Gustafsson is on course for an average of eight points or more but only after he has ridden in seven more league meetings.
Davey Watt’s average has dropped from 8.15 to 7.00 but Lewis Bridger, who started on 5.11, is likely to be about 7.25 when he rides his 12th league meeting of the season at Peterborough tomorrow .
Dugard added: “Ricky will have some hard rides but we will have Simon and Denis at reserve, which looks a strong pairing.”
why are we not suprised ? neither side can be relied on ---- again
This is becoming a joke ... like the previous time he came over. How many 'two weeks time' does that add up to? The only way that Eastbourne will strengthen sufficiently to compete with the others will be to manipulate the 12 match rules as Poole and Coventry have managed to do. But I suppose Bob could not afford to entice any available riders anyway due to the lack of sponsorship and current attendances at Eastbourne.
So 3 weeks ago it was in 3 weeks time, last week it was 2 weeks now its a another 3 weeks away David will be back at this rate before we see him!
As other teams are doing we should be looking to build up not drop another 2 points from our team averages! With Davey's average going down and Lewis' not going up yet and Simon's still low now is the perfect time to build to the 42 limit not replace a 6 pointer with a 4 pointer! If we're not carefull this season could quickly fall apart as last season did. _________________ Check out my Pic's site. Click on WWW below...

Yes I agree. Why, if he can't be here for 6/6/09 against the Illegal Bees, can't he get here for the 15/6/09 away against the Wolves. Can he only make his 2009 debut at a home meeting.
This guy might be half decent but so far he only irritates me.
thought BD was trying to save time and money , wasted both on this bloke ----- again . yes , like others i am starting to feel concern about this season falling apart as the last two did . ok , won the cup last year ---- well with that team we should have done something .now with two of the teams re-writing the rule book as they go , and bspa sitting with their thumbs up their bums, it's not just our season we need to be concerned about , it is the elite speedway season alround .
