Yep, well done to Scott.
Proving his worth to us in an Eagles jacket, still think he should be team captain, but maybe next season, eh?

Just a pity that riding for us is proving to be such a retrograde step in his carreer......not Exclamation  Exclamation  Rolling Eyes

I sincerely hope that Scott is with us next year but I have my doubts as he is a Coventry asset.

Anyone got any news on Scott?
Apparantly he had a nasty crash in Sweden last night and was taken to hospital.
Fingers crossed he is O.K.

Saw Kelvin Tatum in Scotty's corner on Saturday evening, Confused  did not think he helped him much. Exclamation  Was surprised that he was not commentating on Sky, though I thought Johnno did an excellent job.  Smile Noticed that Nicki had a dig at Tatum. Laughing

with a few more digs at tatum perhaps we'll bury him . he is so very boring , wonder how scott put up with it [ bridger bores scott ontrack , bores into him ! , pehaps his sat nav is faulty] . maybe he pays scott ! something pathetic about " hasbeens " when they criticise riders that are so much better than they were .
looks like scott willnot qualify for 2009 GP  , so hope he able to stay with us though , he reminds me in many ways of the master of arlington , our martin . a team man too , great to have that back again .

I see nicholls has pulled out of the pairs meeting on sunday so he can regroup after the gp. I see in an interview that he is no longer enjoying speedway. do you feel that he could pull the plug on his racing.

I can see that Scott would not be very happy with his Eagles colleagues other than may be Lee or Eddie and therefore not a lot of satisfaction even though scoring well himself.  Shame if he pulls out as not his problem.

think scott is better than ever as leader and example to a team . reminds me of martin dugard frequently . can i say more than that ? ok GPs have not gone well , and it is quite possible he will not finish in the top eight . think he must feel discouraged at times with some people on and off the track . most of us are at tmes  he brought the team spirit and team riding back to arlington when it was needed , the guys that had provided those qualities were no longer riding . coventry certainly let the wrong man go , and have now tried to remedy this with andersen. . so who will we have in the pairs ? will lee be riding ? lot of unhappy bunnies around  for all sorts of reasons.

I dont think he will pull the plug on speedway altogether but probably his priorities have changed ie; having a family and maybe not achieving as much as he wanted in the GP series.
The pairs will be a bit of a farce anyway from past experiences - u turn up expecting 2 c the top 2 riders of each time but never do!  If Lee doesnt ride on Sunday I can c us having Kennett and Bridger - exactly what I am talking about.
Scott is very professional as a rider and think probably he is frustrated with his season this year - lets hope anyway.

well i certainly agree with the above comments . scott is riding , scoring and earning well and absloutely deserves it . but the chaos caused by bspa and others in positions of responsibility are enough to make any rider head for the door , as for the olsen circus this is the other serious danger to our speedway . all looks topical though --- failing political bodies whose only success is looking after themselves . something obviously contagious , but will they take us down with them . why not walk away from this morass of morons and be paid well and appreciated abroad . some have done this and more will likely follow , and who can blame them . read todays speedway star , not just about andersen and lee richardson , wonder brown hasn't backed these people as a quango .

Scott has parted company with his mechanic. I take it that is  what he was on about when he said that he is changing a few things in his life. He also says that the max he got at coventry the other friday was a good feeling as he still gets on with a few people up there but there are some people he dont. Cant see him going back there.

totally agree , which may mean we have a chance of retaining him . as for machinery , his bikes in our matches seem fine , but the ones in the GPs are slow and seemingly not dialled into the various tracks . can't understand why . true most GP riders have a real team of experts with them and the machinery is top notch with one or two exceptions . what does he want tatum for ?! i know there was a coventry conection . maybe he is so boring that scott is able to catch up on his sleep ! believe scott himself is worth a place , but looks like he could miss out on last year . but face it after team GB , we brits  seem generally slipping behind . it will take more than woffinden by himsel to change that . then neither lynch or trevor are what is needed .f

It says in the Argus that Lewis is joining Scott at the ELRC.

Wonder which report is correct ?

so no scott , 16 riders without him . do we know why he is not riding ? just that i am concerned about the relationship between scott/lee and lewis . that is going to take some time to heal . it dinn't heal between nicki/david and lewis and i fully understand why  . that would finish eagles for the foreseeable future if all the team cannot accept him, not that i am criticising them ..

The only reason i can think of why Scott is not riding is he fell quite heavy on his shoulder when he tangled with Holta in the latest Gp.Maybe hes still recovering from that and still recovering from the most bizarre ref verdict i have ever seen!!!
