Davey Watt was so tired last night that he managed to fly to poland today and score 8 plus 1. That takes the piss if you ask me. Watt in an eastbourne shirt=4 less paying fans through eastbournes turnstiles. Anyone disagree with my thoughts?

thanks paul , much appreciated . it all depends on what happens during the close season . same again , might visit occasionaly , --- one of my biggest fixes is seeing and chatting to you in the car park Wink have to wait and see , as posted , much could depend on Sky . financially could the elite survive without them ?
premier don't want anymore teams , elite too many matches , being the only elite saturday team , and with overseas competitions of various kinds we are too often deprived of our riders , and also fans will make financial saving by not attending all matches when visitors are lined up too many times in all sorts of competitions .agree with BD [ do you believe me paul  Laughing ] , one league visit per team is enough .
also the riders constantly switching clubs , martin , david , deano , ando , danno --- they were OUR team , and we supported them each year . annual mercenries , then off again , it simply isn't what
we want or will pay for . fine new blood has to be brought in for various reasons , just look at lukas , we love him and he loves us , and a young star in the making , loyal and true , simon . bet some of you thought i was going to say some other rising youngster -- no thanks , i'll take simon .so that leaves national league or closure [ for at least a year ] . financially i'd take the former . follow and support " our boys" as we had during the early nineties --- magic .watch them grow in stature , a real team , we loved it and attended in droves . Very Happy

Well he is your facebook friend, why dont you ask him yourself, im sure he would value your imput on this subject.

I really don’t know the answer to Dave Watt’s lack of form and im sure he has no idea either. I don’t think anybody can offer excuses for a rider of his undoubted quality to score so badly for any team in any league. A lot of riders run on confidence and Dave is one of them, when its going well, they fly, when not, well they take the piss  as you put it and are on a downward spiral.

Saying that, although I didn’t go, he was poor and let people down but he has won more points for Eastbourne than he has lost.

You pay your money you take your choice, The  Eastbourne Eagles are bigger than any rider so I guess its up to you not to go to the last meeting this year…

MD your correct  when you say im facebook friends with him and believe me when he is online at the same time as me i will ask him what he ment by saying he was tired. Do you really believe that by him saying that he was withdrawing from the meeting due to being tired is really fair on us paying fans. If you do think its fair then could you please pay me to paint your windows or anything that you may need painting only for me to go home halfway through the job. If you believe that to be true then pm me and i shall come to yours and do a half a job for you.

Fair play Nug and of course, no offence to your goodself, you make a valid point.

As I said though, Dave is not the sort of person, like yourself with my windows, who would want to just do half a job. I dont think he has that in him, infact I know so.

Saying that, he let himself down last night and that will hurt him.

Most of you will know my opinion on Davey Watt's recent performances from my previous postings....

Nug.... I don't know about him pulling out half way through last night... we'd have been better off if he hadn't bothered turning up at all. And I agree with you how strange it seems that a long arduous journey to Poland seemed to revitalise him from the tiredness that he was suffering from on Saturday night!

MD... Davey has been pretty dismal over the last few meetings, coming out with one excuse after the other, so if it hurts him so much I'd have thought he'd have done something about it by now.... And isn't it strange that his lack of confidence doesn't seem to effect him in Sweden or Poland.

I know he has been terrific for us in the past but that doesn't give him the right to "take the piss" now.

I agree with nug that Saturday was the last straw and he should never wear an Eagles race suit again.... although I don't think I'd go as far as to say that I'd never go again.

I see Davey represents Eastbourne in the Elite riders championship at coventry with Lukas at reserve.I would love to have seen Lewis in there as in general he has done really well this year,is an eagles asset and you would know he would give it 100% and more!!!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOPS EDIT Just seen lewis and simon are in the U21 final the next day!!!

Agree with you speedy dan....

Following his recent displays I wouldn't let Davey represent us in the local egg and spoon race!!

Fingers crossed he might be "too tired" to compete at Coventry and Lewis could take his place.

I would agree with this post I dont think that his performances this season merit his inclusion in the line up. Personally on current form you'd have to give  Simon and Ricky serious thought.

hence the expression , " watt's wrong with davey" ? seriously , know the guy has to make a living , but to travel to and race in poland  the following day shows his priorities .most polish teams/ sponsors supply mechanics .at first i did not agree with the criticisms , now ------  Shocked
