I'm sorry to have to say it, but tactically Trevor really hasn't got a clue.

Yet again we are going to be up against it in heat 13.

Its come over very dark and gloomy up here in Middlesex. Looks like the heavens could open at any second.

What's it like down in Eastbourne?

Update..... The heavens have just opened up here!!!

Still very windy - Sunny spells brief light shower don't think it will come to much suggest rain gear just in case! Have checked the traffic flow round here, no problems M25 or round this area at all.

Had  heavy shower, between 15.00 - 15.45, it has now stopped, and at the moment the sun is shining. The forecast was for the odd shower. Hopefully it will be okay for tonight. Exclamation

It's 4.45, we've had a heavy shower earlier, but now windy with a blue sky and sunny, supposedly o.k. for the rest of the day, so hope that helps COUS.

It is raining heavily here in Broadstairs and I gather track conditions at Arlington are diabolical.

Evening david, does not seem to be affecting Poole, 25 - 34 to them.
I am working, just "looked" in in a quiet spell, no doubt others who were there will say otherwise, but it seems Bridger  left his brain behind in Poland, X 1 X tells its own story!

Poole, without Anderson should be for the taking, even their own supporters reckoned they had no chance.

Apparently Lewis withdrew with concussion.

The plot appears to be on course for the relegation play-off  Laughing

so another home loss . how pathetic .bridger and kling the worst culprits this time .bridger really lets us all down too often. two home matches left , might watch the one on sky , was going to last one against ippo --- think that is extremely unlikely now . heat 13 used to be good for us , but ray's friend cannot seem to see those days are long gone , and has not the sense or moral fibre to do anything about it . i really don't want to see him , so best stay away .
sorry you went to all that trouble tonight COUS . they don't deserve fans like you . Sad

Well its been nice knowing you Ray,but I'm Eastbourne to the end disappointed as I am with the result to night I will be at Lakeside to cheer them on next Friday like Aussie supporting the team through the good and the bad times which the latter  they certainly have been recently.Contrary to Davids post the track rode quite well dispite the two downpours prior to the meeting starting. Gustafsson opened with 55.6 and Holder later did a 55.5 slowest race was won by A Silver 58.7

I dont think I've ever been more angry following an Eagles meeting than I am now.

If I've ever seen a more inept, hopeless and pathetic performance in an Eagles race jacket than that by Ricky Kling tonight then I cant remember it.

If he hasn't been sacked already then he should be first thing in the morning.

Having done some quick sums we'd have about 5.5 points available to replace him, and to my mind that's just about our only chance of avoiding bottom of the league.

I really look forward to someone coming on here and trying to defend the rider who we were told would be "one of the strongest reserves in the league". Like his riding.... what a joke!!!

Mind you.... having said that, none of them particularly covered themselves in glory.

We have a team that can't gate, can't pass (though they don't seem to mind being passed themselves), and can't team ride.

Hardly the perfect cocktail when it comes to a Speedway team!!

The only one who I would exclude from too much critisism would be Daniel, although even he managed to inexpicably throw away what should have been a comfortable win in heat 2.

Captain Davey Watt didn't manage to beat an opposition heat leader all night, and didn't look like he was particularly bothered. I mean... if it hadn't been for an engine failure he probably would have been beaten by (the mighty) Leon Madsen in heat 3.

Lukas had one great ride when he beat Chris Holder but then did his best to block Daniel in heat 11, changing a possible 5-1 into a 4-2.

Simon and Cameron both managed one good ride each, but little else.

Lewis is hard to judge. One completed ride, an engine failure and a fall... although at least when he fell he was going for a big blast round the outside. Hope the head aint too sore Lewis.

And as for Trevor..... forgetting for now the fact that he continues to stick with the same (completely wrong) riding order..... why the hell was the pathetic Kling kept in heat 8 when bringing in Daniel seemed like a no brainer.

All in all an extremely frustrating and annoying evening. If everyone at the club had put in the same amount of effort and commitment as I did to get there tonight, then I'm sure we'd have won the meeting quite comfortably.

Like parker, I'll be supporting the team until the end of the season, but if there aren't changes in both personel and the riding order for our next meeting I wont be happy!!

Here endeth the rant.

I think youve just about said it all COUS although I thought as well as Daniel, Simon just about did enough to escape criticisim.Personally I think theses a couldnt give a **** attitude in the team. Having continually been told from almost the beginning of the season that we'd close if we didnt get more money from the Sky Fixtures then, because of poor attendances , then BD chose to announce his retirement and if another promoter wasnt found that would be it. When was that Mid season? bet all of that gave the team a real boost! Add to that the continued much publicised threat by Ray Stubbs not to attend anymore meetings that was probably the final straw Wink . Trevor performance last night again  showed his weakness when Lewis was unable to take his ride in heat 13 he sent out Kling who hadnt made a point at that I believe. I know sending out Daniel out would have meant 4 consecutive rides. Would Middo have sent him out? needs must some times.  6 races where an Eagle was excluded didnt help either. On other thing the meeting ended at 10.00pm the tractor spent more time on the track than all the bikes surely riders look for racing lines etc doesnt continually grading the track negate that?

change in your last two postings parker, one you and aussie2 are there forever , then you join COUS  Confused  mind you the experience must have been mind numbing . think that is seven home defeats ---that is truly awful . as said before the fish rots from the head down , our so called management's complete failure to promote , get sponsors , inspire fans , even to treat them properly would have been nice , run and inspire a team , total failure . "the management " reminds me of the Hale and Pace characters . Farcical. that they could have brought eagles to this is the biggest shock of all . Sad

Wheres the change Ray, COUS posts he will be supporting until the end doesnt alter the fact that I agree with his post. As for the experience being numbing how would you know you rarely go now as you so often post.

Good post Parker, and two good points re BDs announcements, a REAL morale booster, guaranteed to ensure maximum commitment from the riders,................not!
Also add to that his confirmation that he voted to lower the play-off qualification from 6 to 4, (irrespective as to whether 2/3rds of the league being in with a shout of being champion was daft) really probably knocked the stuffing out of them; at that time the team were riding reasonably, well placed to keep that 6th slot in the league.

put aside the question of whether or not riders should ride to their full commitment to the team at all times, anyone working for a buisiness that repeatedly, publicly, states they will close in a few months, will naturally not be putting their utmost into their job, riders are no different to anyone else in that aspect.

Still, we may now well have an unexpected extra meeting to look forward to, one that may see the biggest crowd for a while, traffic backed up to the A 22, the start delayed to let in the eager hordes.

Presumably we will squeeze through on aggregate, won't we?

A dreadful meeting ,possibly the worst I have seen in years . The pundits who said we will finish bottom will be laughing now ,'cos I can't see where we are going to pick up any points between now and the end of the season .

I fully understand why youve not attended recently and I'm glad that your good lady is recovering. However that was not the tone of you posts for example,"ray's friend...has not the sense or moral fibre to do anything about it, I really dont want to see him, so best stay away". I would hope that a mere disagreement about whether or not to support the Eagles wouldnt come between friendship  either way I dont think of you any less because your views on this differ from mine.
