Good Meeting to win, Great to see the "Ant Eater" go home point less,Reasonable crowd despite very few Lakeside fans there. And of course with the North London OAPs giving the meeting a miss the average age of attendees was greatly reduced _________________ A Founder Member of the Home Straight Lukas Dryml Appreciation Society!
I didnt go last night, yeah yeah still sulking over Shields latest injury, was it a good meeting?
What was the crowd like?
A few people have told me that Lukas won Eastie the meeting for fencing Bjarne Pedersen twice, is this true or is it just bitter hammers fans?
It was a good meeting as far as the Eagles were concerned after 8 straight defeats. The crowd about 900 bit more than some might have predicted, not as many Hammers fans as usual though.True Lukas gave Pedersen a hard time unlucky to be excluded in his first race but definately nudged him into the fence for his second exclusion, the reason for Pedersens withdrawl wasnt given.Heat 14 was a talking point Robson I believe lost control on the second bend lap2 made no attempt to get up hence the race was stopped and at the time awarded to Eastbourne as we were well ahead and had completed two laps before the lights came unfortunately Cupofcoffee hadnt completed 2 laps so Cook was quick to point out to the referee that all riders had to complete 2 laps before the race could be awarded and of course in the re run Kylmakorpi duly won it. _________________ A Founder Member of the Home Straight Lukas Dryml Appreciation Society!
Yes Lukas ran Bjarne wide in his first race nut was harshly excluded when Bjarne fell as he ran out of room, should have been all 4 back. The next crash Lukas was clearly faster and nudged Bjarne on the exit of bend 4 and as he passed Bjarne it looked like his footrest went into Bjarne's front wheel, a racing incident really although I guess Lukas was corectly excluded in that one. Interesting comments from Lewis' grandad and Trevor Geer during the interval and clearly they didn't agree! As you all know I'm a big Lewis fan but cannot defend on this. Clearly there is more to the whole situation than has been reported as Trevor unwittingly gave away last night but at present I'm not sure I want to drag that up! _________________ Check out my Pic's site. I havent always been a real Lewis fan perhap because IMO hes never shown full dedication to his sport, he's obviously got a talent. In this instance he made an error of judgement whether under pressure from the Poles or not. Hes been dealt with by club and the BSPA, what ever we post on here about it wont make an difference to Lewis, hes still growing up and will only learn by the mistakes he continues to make. Whether Trevors right or his Grandfather, we will probably never know. Whether Lewis ever realises his true potential is down to him we can't live his live for him. _________________ A Founder Member of the Home Straight Lukas Dryml Appreciation Society!
absolutely true , we have been on the roller coaster with him , sometimes some of us have tried to get off . but he is so exiting , but must broaden his horizons of speedway and life . some guy called briggo was very similar in many ways , hope lewis will emulate him . has to ride with and against the best , so it will have to be overseas . the risks he takes[ and all speedway riders ] it is only right he should be paid enough for it . no , no point in manchester city trying to sign him , but he deserves to move onto the top . what a schedhule riders like him have , what injuries occur , the travelling alone is incredible . move on lewis ,if we run next season [ oh please !!!!] dugard will not be promoter but his promise must be honoured , think he probably has some ownership of lewis , and hopefully we will be in the premier .if it goes this way , then premier will change like previous amalgamation did , and maybe some of the team can be fitted in , including lukas . add to this other junior assets , sounds exciting .
we can dream , can't we
At this moment in time there is no chance of any team from the Elite League stepping down. As long as the Elite League reamins 10 or below, the Premier League will NOT allow any Elite League team to step down After this year there will probably be only 8 teams, unless any of the Premier decide to step up. This I rather doubt, because of the cost. _________________ Supporting the Eagles through the good times as well as the bad
see response in "season's last meeting " thread chances of elite having 8 teams or more is financially remote . it will onlyhave as many as can afford and wish to join , so they are likely of running with less , or not running at all
