Wolves v Eastbourne 15th June

Everyones been very quiet about our 55-39 defeat at Monmore Green on Monday....

But what did it tell us....

1. That one of the main reasons we won at Poole was because of the performance of our guest Travis McGowen.

2. That with only 1 heat victory Davey Watt is still not performing as a true no.1

3. That neither Lewis or Simon are ready yet to fill the no.1 position, which one of them will probably have to do when the new averages come out.

4. That Lukas is far too inconsistent to be considered as a second heat leader.

5. That despite the odd glimpse of what he's really capable of, Cameron is having a dreadful season.

6. That Ricki isn't performing as one of the best reserves in the Elite League.

Apart from that everything is fine!!!!!

Don't sit on the fence  Laughing

I am afraid I was too disgusted to be bothered to post the press report.  Sad

Wolves v Eastbourne 15th June

I have to agree with everything Comeon has said, but then again I am not surprised at the result or the performance. The away performance overall is dreadful and this is one of the reasons I will not travel to away meetings, I don't even feel comfortable watching them on Sky on away meetings due to their poor performance. I cannot decide if its experience/poor bike set up/track conditions or all three that are contributing towards the poor away record. We cannot think to have any chance of getting into the play off places until the away performance improves, we cannot hope that our home performance will compensate.

GOOD POSTS AGAIN from people who see the bigger picture, the only thing i would slightly not agree with is cous point 3 about Bridger and gustafsson being No1 .LEWIS  would be ok there ive no probs with that and it might do Davey good to be in the main body of the team. The main prob is cam woodward and the talent he has but we are not getting the best out of him.maybe he just having a good time traveling the world as he is still young but he cant go on like this forever and someone has to sit him done and focus about what he is doing,a little bit like lewis last year just floating around not really concentrateing but enjoying the odd good race.maybe he is quite happy at the stage he is at,but it would be a waste of talent if he just plodded on like he is doing.

Just to clarify Speedy dan....

I wasn't being critical of either Lewis or Simon, who are the only ones to have not only met expectations but to have probably exceeded them so far this season.

I just think that for either of them to be pushed up to no.1 is maybe asking too much at this stage of their careers and could lead to a knock to their confidence and therefore a drop off in their performances..... which would be unfair and a real shame.

maybe i worded my post wrongly cous,i can see your point, but i just think in lewis that its another step up and he will be buzzing at getting to number 1,im sure he will be ok.Simon on the other hand is not such a good idea.

From speaking to a relative of Lewis's he does not want the number one jacket but realises he may well get it by default. I am sure that whatever happens he will do his best.

1. Agreed.
2. Agreed. Although his performances at home are generally ok.
3. Agreed. Lewis is too erratic to be anything other than a 3rd Heat Leader. He can't gate to save his life most of the time. However we should not forget his average last year was 5.11 so he has massively improved.Simon is the shining light of this season so far, is undoubtably No 1 material, but not for another year.
4. Lukas is hopeless away from Arlington. At home he can be poor or brilliant, but you never know what you are going to get.
5. Agreed. A major disappointment. One of the worst gaters in the EL. Makes it hard to score decent points if you are virtually always last into turn 1.
6. Agreed, but only up to a point. At least he is improving and he's better than most reserves.

I decided at 2.30 pm not to go to Wolves due to the weather being iffy. My comments are purely based on the OLR and the comments of Wolves fans. However our middle order's points tally was absolutely shocking.
Also as an aside I am sick and tired of having to watch guests and RR to cover for all sorts of individual, and so called international call ups. I know it's largely because we are a Saturday night club but it still deprives us from watching a full Eagles team.
