Poole v Eastbourne 25/03/09Is anybody going down to Poole for the second leg of the Elite Shield ?
Do you think we can win at Poole or on aggregate ?

Are you suggesting that there are Eastbourne fans not going to watch the 2nd. leg at Poole ?

Poole 43 Eagles 49 - a wonderful win for Eagles tonight to win the Elite Shield. Well done.
That will help to increase the gates for sure!

What a surprise, could not believe the score. Panic stations at Poole. Well done to all the team, Simon appears to be one of our trump cards. Hope Lukas is okay, as I see he had to pull out of the meeting. Davey is showing what a rider he is and seeing him on Saturday what a superb captain he will be. This must give them great heart for Friday at Lakeside. So we have been written off, perhaps it is better to be the underdogs. Once again congratulations to all the team. Can go to bed happy.

Lewis brilliant, Simon outstanding, 25 points over both legs from a reserve!
Cookie must be a bit apprehensive, a week ago he reckoned it would just be a formality to go into the next round, now........?
Not bad for the "Wooden Spooners", eh

A good team performance by the boys good to see Ricky Kling in the points should give him a confidence team. The Poole fans were not happy with their teams performance, Pedersen is getting stick on their forums, expect team changes shortly

Pedersen got stick last year too when he had a slow start. most Poole fans are not worried about him. We are more concerned with the reserves and a replacement for Jason Doyle.
On a lighter note:
Well done to Mr Bridger for scoring a max hope he keeps it up. I laughed my socks off when he wheelied round the track winding the crowd up. Thats the sort of entertainment we used to get and we need more of it.

He must stop entertaining the crowd, he'll never be any good if he keeps on with those wheelies

Great win and think we will do a lot better than people think this season? If Davie and Lewis can keep up that kind of scoring plus Simon must be one of the best reserves in the league. Cameron seems to be riding well with Davie and even Kling scored points. My only concern is Floppy ... let's hope its just early season gremlins?
