It will be interesting after two good wins on Shale to see how we perform on Lakesides Concrete Raceway Seriously keep within 2-4pts of them we can overturn that on Arlingtons Shale

I am much more optimistic than I was before last nights performance.
I hope Floppy can turn in a decent score. I am sure he was disappointed with the 2 points at Poole and keeping his confidence high in the early weeks of the season must be important.
We might be in with a squeek over the two legs. What a slap in the face for the pundits that would be .
Reasons to be cheerful !.
ComeOnYouSpurs
After the fabulous performance at Poole we must go into this bursting with confidence.
If we can get Floppy going we'd be in with a great chance.
Any news on Lukas following his withdrawal from the Poole meeting?
Not wishing to be unkind, but..... with him being (I believe) at no.2 in our averages we'd probably be better off on the tight Lakeside circuit with our old friend R/R as all the riders would be able to take an extra ride.

Not going too well...

Lakeside v Eagles Fridy 27/3/09
After the elation of the results against Poole, it looks as though the team has come back to earth with an almighty bang, surely there will be some words said to certain team members. Kling on his return to 'home' should be better than this!
Eagle1971
Eagles have just had a 7-2..............we're only 21 behind now
arnie
You cant hope to compete with effectively a 3 man team scoring points!
arnie
Surely barring a miracle, we can kiss goodbye to the K O cup now.Eight 5-1's against us is a shocking display. Lakeside turned up tonight obviously, but some of ours definately didn't.

Team riding order IS confirmed.
CHK is stuck in traffic on M25! Will get this party started as soon as we can. Have patience....
CHK has got there! So we're OK. He says air fence looks a bit deflated at one end so there may be some delay to start of this meeting...
Its apparently rather chilly at Lakeside this evening
SO LAKESIDE TAKE A 19 POINT ADVANTAGE INTO SECOND LEG.
THANKS TO CHK FOR THE TEXTS AND TO YOU ALL FOR JOINING ME. THANKS AND GOODNIGHT X
Davey, Lewis and Simon score 34 between them and the remaining four score just four between them.

Not looking good but Arlington is a different track

Well after being 44-18 down after heat 10 this would be the greatest comeback since Lazarus. Good luck Eagles!
nug
I think that most away meetings will be like that this season for every team at every track, except for teams visiting poole early on in the season.

having just returned from lakeside the pairing of Floppy and the Klingon is a worry. Floppy just seems off the pace and unable to stay on the bike, Kling appears to have a total lack confidence. Having said that we are capable of closing the gap tomorrow although I think our tenure of the KO Cup ends tomorrow
Good turn out of supporters for the Eagles, but for the result an enjoyable evening.
speedy dan boy
also back from a very cold lakeside!! hes my view of the riders-
Watt-------------on top form
cam -------------started in a world of his own in a land far far away!!
but then borrowed klings bike and was much better!!!
Lewis ----------- always in there fighting-done ok
dryml ---------?!? at least he made the effort to get to lakeside!!
Norris-------------sure it will come but shouldnt be riding at No5 as
he has hard heats and has to race in heat 13
Kling -- riding with zero confidence but his bike is fast enough as cam proved when jumping on it!!
simon -------future star in my eyes and he is starting to pick people off from the back and was involved in the race of the night passing both hammers in heat 2.he now looks the spitting image of his fathers racing style
DubaiJon
Floppy and Dyrml are a worry at this stage as it looks like we were a 3 man team last night. Am sure Cam will come good and is always much better around Arlington anyway. Kling will get a chance but don't think the management will perserve with him too long if he doesn't start showing more confidence?
Like I have said in other posts Floppy is my major worry, especially riding at No.5?
Kevin54
Ooops , that did not go well.
Well we've got tonight to reclaim lost points and pride, but with the Eagles "B" team of Adam, Joonas and Richardson it is going to be tough.
Can't fault Simon, Lewis or Davey.
Kling really ought to have done a bit better on his former track
Cameron sounds like he's blowing hot and cold, but we know he can come up with the goods.
Dave will come good, he has been out racing for 18 months, with the problems he has had it is a wonder he's back on a bike.
Dryml?, Poole have got Stonehewer, we've got Dryml

Problem with Floppy at No5 is that with the present line up two of his rides are with Ricky Kling. To date their 6 rides together have amassed 9pts of which Floppy has scored 8pts. Also his much publised purchasing of Hans Andersens bikes did he buy his engines as well ? because they look off the pace? My worry is that maybe I'm expecting to see the Dave Norris of old and maybe thats expecting too much, but the way Dave threw his bike down after his last fall certainly showed a natural sign of frustration with what he had hoped to have achieved by now.
DubaiJon
Good points Parker. Its early days yet anyway. He scored 5 at home on Saturday which again is less than I would have hoped, but I agree entirely with you, we're probably all remembering the Dave Norris of old who took the British Grand Prix by storm not so long ago?
