just heard that young Brandon Freemantle has won the British under 15`s title this year on his 250cc machine.
Very well done that man, so it seems Eastbourne continue to turn out good riders at the famous junior track.
Hats of to Martin Dugard and his band of merry men .
Looks like the dream of a home grown team taking glory at the top level could become a reality in the future, there are some very good young riders on the little track at present so who knows
Take a bow Brandon you little ripper

Yes well done Brandon. Kevin announced it on Saturday.
Let us hope that there is indeed a future for Eastbourne.

hi peppapig , good to hear from you again .eastbourne have unique facilities for youngsters to develop , and develop they certanly have ever since arlington existed .the list of names is incredible , we nurtured and made our own teams . but these youngsters need competion racing to improve further .with a national league running we should have our eaglets racing in it . real fans would attend , support and bond with them , even some sponsorship , invest in the future , remember the history and the glory . we loved it . even now some of these former youngsters are keeping british speedway and us continuing , some have moved on , as happens at all sports . the general present system of hiring annually mercenaries is never the same , though of course it must continue , coz no other club can , has or will achieve what eastbourne has done and continues to do . the fans will follow as they have always done , local sponsors would be more intrested , running costs would be less , and the future protectd .as these riders mature some are inevitably sold , this too produces income .
surely a win-win situation .
