This is a subject which I keep thinking about putting on here. I think now is right after some dismal team displays. I know he came in at such a high average but I really think we should somehow fit him in the team. We would at least have one rider who would want to ride for our club. I hope next season if there is a next season for us that we have Nicki P in it. What do you think? _________________ The mighty Eastbourne Eagles
Unless they raise the points limit we will have no chance. And unless they make less matches Nicki won't want to come back. Peterborough & Wolves both asked him a while ago & he turned them down. _________________ Palace & Eastbourne, a perfect pair of eagles
at first i was very disappointed , but understanding the points limit and financial barriers we really had no choice . the acquisition of scott has proved more vital than i could have immagined . he brings a dimmension of talent and example that a world champion is not able to give , and the time to do so . both great men and riders bringing different gifts to our sport and team . yes i would love to see him wearing the eagle again , but due to the aforementioed reasons this may well be impossible . just immagine having both , that would be out of this world . but hey , we are allowed to dream .
Earlier I would have said that we were more of a team since Nicki left (and thats no disrespect to Nicki, who for several seasons carried us single handed) but after recent weeks one would have to wonder _________________ A Founder Member of the Home Straight Lukas Dryml Appreciation Society!
that is certainly true . looked as if we were going to be areal team especially scott taking over the martin dugard role which no other rider could . a huge glimmer of light , but it is not scott's fault what has happened . he can advise , he can teach , he can help , he is a true team man . but if others will not listen ???? you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink ---- in which case if it dies of thirst it is it's own fault !

So much promise at the beginning of the season, and now it has all fallen apart. Perhaps it would be beneficial to Scotty if he sat a season out of the GP's. He needs to regain the confidence, and perhaps concentrating on team racing for a year might help. The team spirit has disappeared, and at the moment it seems that the team is made up of seven individual riders doing their own thing. Simon is progressing slowly, he has had much put on his young shoulders this season, because of his pointless scoring colleague, Cam off form since his crash, Eddie a bit up and down at the moment. Lee has done as expected given the circumstances, and rode brilliantly last night. The less said about Lewis the better. . _________________ Supporting the Eagles through the good times as well as the bad

Its not sitting out of the GPS that Scott needs its a bit of luck and perhaps better equipment. If you asked whether I would pick Scott over Nicki I'd now have Scott, prior to the season starting I'd have said Nicki. Hes a good team man in a team with, IMO little team spirit _________________ A Founder Member of the Home Straight Lukas Dryml Appreciation Society!

I think Nickis by far the best individual rider, but as a team rider Scotts better IMO _________________ A Founder Member of the Home Straight Lukas Dryml Appreciation Society!
have to agree with parker and several of us have posted to that effect . but nicki at 5 rode with reserves in three heats . last season these were cam and lewis . at that time cam's machiinery was well past it's sell by date , and has been replaced this year . now that isn't up to scratch and has been sent off for professional maintenance and tuning . as for team riding with lewis , well nicki had problem there , ask scott about it . nevertheless nicki is special and he thinks eagles are . always rooting for him in GPs . he deserves to be the individual world champion . he and david were in heat 15 together sometimes, and when david gated nobody got past the two of them . actually it is difficult for almost any rider to keep up nicki .

Keep an eye out for the latest interview on our website (Weird World of Subedei) - should be there over the next few days. You might change your mind. _________________ She will always carry on. He may not team ride but he leads by example, provides entertainment, likes riding for us and is the most professional rider around...in short
BRING HIM BACK!
Love to see Nicki back in Eagle Kevlars next season a real professional rider. _________________ A Founder Member of the Home Straight Lukas Dryml Appreciation Society!
I see in the Speedway Star that Nicki has signed a 2 year contract with Swedish club Lejonen, worth 7.7 million Swedish Kroner (£650,000) Perhaps thats one of the reason why he isnt racing for us, we couldnt afford anywhere near that on our attendances. _________________ A Founder Member of the Home Straight Lukas Dryml Appreciation Society!

As NIcki's mechanic for many years i just want to put a few points right
Peterborough and Wolves asked him and he said no to wolves, but yes to peterborough, i was told the deal was sorted and nicki was waiting to be advised of the fixture list, next thing we know they'd signed Sullivan for a lot more money.
Team man, Nicki and Davey Watt did try on several occasions to assist in the pits with all riders but one rider in particular.. that rider chose to ignore their advice so they both left him to it.
Money, Yes Nicki has done a deal in Sweden involving a great deal of money, That does not mean he would be expensive over here, He is a business man and 'pitches' his services at a price the market can withstand, he has alway done deals that meant he was paid what he earned, unlike some such as Greg who did mega deals and then was left owing thousands upon thousands by his last two promotions. Eastbourne did not discuss terms with NIcki at all before last season, they just emailed him to tell him his services were not required, at a time when it was too late for him to get fixed up in the UK.
Sitting in Niki's workshop in Denmark all last year were two brand new bikes which he had built for the UK season, No rider would lay that amount of money out if he didn't intend riding here.

Ray, is there any chance of Nicki riding for Eastbourne again, or have all the bridges been burnt.
I'd love to see him back again. We still cheer for him in the GP's even when he up against Scott or Bomber!!!
