The first set of new averages are given when a team completes its first 12 meetings, 5 of which must have been home meetings. The new averages come in to force 7 days after the 12th meeting, or subsequent meeting that fulfills the criteria. Any rider having not competed in each of those qualifying meetings will retain his start average. Thereafter the averages are calculated up to and including the 23rd of each month, with the new average coming in to force on the 1st of the following month.
