Any comments or predictions ?

I am switching my weekly trip to Friday to take this meeting in and am hoping it won't be my last.

I believe we should win this but expect it to be close.

so they have signed paul hurry coz of injured reserves  . if he is like carl stonehewer was against us , one less to be concerned about . could be wrong about both , but remember steve schofield riding against us his last year in elite . that was it , he rode , didn't race anymore . sad to watch , unlike our floppy . Cool

I can see a minimum of 4 league points from this, 3 at home and at least 1 from our trip west in the morning.

Weather forecast is a bit iffy at this stage, so hope they are wrong, mind you, they can't get it right on the day, so what do they know 4 days hence, they forecast rain and possible thunder today, wow, look at the sunshine Exclamation  Exclamation  Rolling Eyes

There will not be enough people there to keep Mr BD happy.  And no doubt it will be Kennett's fault for having the temerity to move to Coventry.

I see that this mornings meeting at Poole was abandoned at heat 12 as a 36-36 draw - good result boys.....

So can someone in the locality please keep us updated with the weather down Arlington way.

I'll be leaving London (where it's been raining on and off all morning) at about 5 so any info up till then will be great.

Thanks....

At present at 13.00 it is dry, but very cloudy. Will keep watch and if starts to rain will let you know via the computer. Keeping my fingers crosed. Wink

The BBC site says Haywards Heath and Hailsham will have light rain pretty much al day. We're nearer Haywards Heath and so far, touch wood, its been dry all day though very grey overhead.

It's not been updated since about 8.20 this morning so fingers crossed.

Had a little light rain a while ago here in mid sussex but at the moment its just overcast. The local forcast puts Arlington on the edge of the patch of light showers. Would think the track will be ok unless we get a long period of rain but so far it looks ok.

It has been raining quite hard for the last 15 minutes. We live in Hailsham, so if it gets any worse will let you know. Sad

5 miles from the track, it is steady but not heavy rain.

Possibly not enough at this stage to cancel meeting, but enough to make some people make other arrangements, will try to give an update around 5.00, though have guests, so might not make it!

My husband has just phoned the track to be told the meeting is on. He was also told that the forecasters have said the tain has passed. They are preparing the track i.e. putting more shale down. Just going to get changed and then off to the track. Wink  Wink

Well, an excellent week-end, 5 out of 6 points, it does not get much better than that.

Everyone played their part, Lukas seems to be settling down and getting in the points, ditto Floppy.
Simon is turning into a machine, the only cloud on the horizon with him is his performance is going to get him noticed by his country, which in turn could result in more calls on his service by them; good for him, not so good for us Exclamation

Good meeting, Very Happy  another excellent performance by Simon, Lukas improves every meeting beating Pedersen by a country mile. Razz  Well done to all the team.  Razz  Razz Those that understandable choose not to chance it missed a good meeting and without the Poole fans attendance might not have been that great.
Just one point I phoned the old  Speedway hotline for an update Temporarily unavailable, being updated and available shortly. Not a good Customer service
