I think this is a meeting we want to be looking to pick up 3 points. The Witches havent had the best of starts to the season and we should capitalise on that.

Yes I agree with that. Cool

After the boring GP I am really looking forward to this one and hope that Cam can keep up his form along with the rest of the boys.  Should be a win by 8 to 10 points I feel.

so our number 8 , holder, for simon ? that changes the whole complexion of the match . about 8 to 10 points we won't score . so all those confident predictions earlier might stand revision now .  as for lukas , who can take his rides , another reason we will miss simon . so all our five will need to step up to the plate . will be happy to get just two points . this problem will reoccur several times this season . Has James Holder had any practise at Arlington, if not it does not bode good for the reserve race. Exclamation  Simon has been one of our most prolific scorers, we will  miss him. We cannot take this match for granted, so the rest of the team will have to score well. It will not be an easy match.  Rolling Eyes  Wink

Confused  Shocked  Rolling Eyes of course r/r would save them the expense , expect they have thought of that .  Sad back to " the little faith " again parker  Wink

If I interpret the regulations correctly we can use RR for Lukas. That means 1 rider with a higher CMA than Lukas ( 5.98 ) can take 1 of his rides, ( Davey Watt ) and the other 3 rides must be taken by riders with a lower CMA. ( Lewis, Cameron and Floppy )
For Simon we can use a guest, or our No'8 .
James Holder did ride on P& P day and didn't look too terrible.
I reckon RR for Lukas will give us about 8 points from 4 rides ( Lukas would have got about 6 from 4 rides ) so that's us 2 to the good.
James for Simon might get 3 from 3 rides against Simon's 12 from 5 rides, with Ricky getting say 6 from 5 rides instead of say 3 from 3 rides so that's a total of 9 instead of 15.
The grand total difference therefore for using RR for Lukas and 'say' James for Simon, is a loss of 4 points to the Eagles over the course of 15 heats.
I would expect us to win by 12 points minimum with a full strength team,so with this patched up team we could win by about 4 if my calculations, albeit purely theoretical, are broadly correct. Rolling Eyes
It's a good job it's Ipswich as opposition and not one of the better teams. Laughing . It will require an exceptional night from our top 4 to achieve the 50-52 points normally needed to secure 3 league points.

they usually are hard to beat at our place , and have quite often won . did that twice in 2007 . but there is a spirit in this team i haven't seen for several seasons . i will keep the faith , parker .but our steamrolling reserve pairing has been our greatest strength , but we do have others . lot will depend how ippo feel on the day , and of course us , not worried about the latter though .hope the weather is better than it has been for our last three away meetings, all rained off . Very Happy

Even with all the change's can't see Ipo taking anything back home with them. Could be a good night for Ricky.

They will not be easy opponents, remember last year. It will need the team to put their best foot or feet forward, metaphorically speaking. As most of the team can take Lukas's rides, it is going to need careful planning by the team manager as to which race to put them in so we can be as strong as possible. It may take Chris Schramm a race to find his way round the track, unless he gets some early practise in. If they all ride to their potential we should come away with the points. Rolling Eyes  Wink

Well done to the whole team, especially Ricky and Chris, their points were valuable in the win. Hope Lewis is okay after his fall, it looked nasty. Another three points in the bag. Well done boys. Very Happy

Another good result, see Ricky got 6 points last night.
He seems to be settling down and picking up points now.

I thought it was an excellent team performance last night 12 point win with 2 riders away on international and national duties...Fantastic and I believe top of the league Very Happy  Although point wise we lost the Reserve battle I though both Ricky and Chris Schramm  competed well. Another Captains innings by Davey and Floppy showed the sort of form we remember him for. And BD should be a happier man with the attendance must have be close if not over his break even crowd figure. On another point I see Jane Wooler out and about selling draw tickets, and the Buddies promotion for the Sky meeting seems a good idea to attract kids well done the Supporters Club. As for leaflets I was given a bunch of Leaflets advertising the Speedway at Eastbourne for the 2009 season  I must say it is a good proffessional little brochure with fixtures, the team, and a detail map of how to get to the Stadium seems to me that at long last the promotion is starting to promote and should be given credit for it Wink

Kling was useless for his two pointless races and didn't even look like he wanted to challenge. Thats the only problem with him is that if he makes the gate (like heat 14) then he looks very good.

Everyone else was impressive, Bridger a little less than the others as he looked out of control on a few occasions, if he improves his gating then he could easily average 8-8.5 by the end of the season.

Watt and Floppy deserve special mentions for their best meetings of the season, both looked very quick.

Apparently the Buddies scheme will run for every home meeting for the rest of the season. At last some progress on the marketing front! Good turn out last night, long may it continue!

Lewis had some shale lodges under the skin which was successfully scraped away and some helpful manipulation before hot-footing it away for a flight.

It's nice when you're that young, it doesn't hurt as much and you bounce back so much quicker.

Oh how I miss those days !!!  Crying or Very sad
