Time to get back to buisiness, after the bombshell of Bobs' announcement, there is the "small" matter of the Robins, making another visit to the Eagles "Eyrie".

Will it be a repeat of the last one?
Will they pull themselves together and ride as we know the team can?

IF this season is going to be Bobs' swansong, then ALL the riders owe it to him to pull their fingers out, win all the remaining home matches comfortably, and give him the send off that his many years of dedication to "his"club deserves.

So, come on lads, this one is for Bob Dugard, a comprehensive win Smile

I would love the team to come out fighting against Swindon. Much will depend on whether the heart has been torn out of the team after the announcement by BD. Swindon will be a different proposition this time, they have Zagar in the team (see my other post about BD). It needs Trevor Geer to get the team together and tell them in uncertain terms that they must win this match, for BD and the fans.

Swindon will be stronger than last time, although don't forget we didn't have Simon either.

Will Floppy be back.... and if so how fit will he be?

Personally I fear the worse results wise, but as long as the boys put up a real fight and don't give up with a whimper like they did against Belle Vue, I can accept that.

It's a chance to get some pride back.

Is this confirmed. The Under 21 semi-final is on Saturday. Is he required for a different meeting ?.

if there is water and shale on the track unlike Saturday then I think we could be in for a good meeting. I think we can win it again and hope to show the Elite League that you don't have to cheat to get what you want.

Just been on the BSPA site, and Pavlic has been banned for 28 days for withholding his services. Does not state the date it is to run  from. If he is banned from riding, what happens on Monday. Can other riders take his rides, and if so who are they. Hope they do not try to put Troy Bachelor in his place, especially after telling him his services were no longer required. Wonder what shennanigans Swindon will try to compensate. Question

The way he last rode Arlington, if they're able to use R/R, that'll make them even stronger!

If we can field a full fit side this might be a good time to take on Swindon as Adams doesnt look his self at this present time. Wink  Probably go and score a maximum now Rolling Eyes

Thank god for Lukas and Lewis.

Simon just gets excused as he has worked his socks off most of the season.

But...........................
What the hell is up with Cameron?
Flashes of brilliance, long periods of mediocrity, tonight next to nothing, yet there he is on TV laughing and chatting as if he has not got a care in the world.

Where was Watt?
He's either carrying an injury that he's not told anyone about, or he does not give a t**s.

That's the season over.

Wasn't the best meeting i have been too. The crowd was very poor. The racing was very poor, the Track was poor and apart from Lewis and Lukas our team was poor. The only good thing about tonight was the end of heat 15 when it was time to go home.

Or that..

However I think Bob has now finally given up early as it seems this season is set to fizzle out. Lets just hope a new person can come on board with the drive to take the club forward.

I thought for a Sky meeting the crowd was reasonable Lakeside had a lot less on their televised meeting. As for Track Swindon or Adams rather, liked it.As for the racing it wasnt a good performance by Eastbourne. What happened to Chris Schram? we dont seem to use him now. Personally I'd use him at reserve when Simon goes into the team rather than Cameron who just appears to be going through the motions. Bob said at the outset of the season any rider not producing the goods would be replaced I think he should just remind Cameron of that staement.

What the hell is going on with our two Aussies....???

In Davey Watt we have a no.1 who seems to have forgotten how to win a race..... and then falls off like a novice when half a lap behind. Hopeless!!

The only good news.... he aint available for Saturday.... for once we might have a no.1 who can compete.

And as for Cameron Woodward.... I've just about run out of patience with him. He makes one decent start all night, but then messes it up on the first 2 bends. The rest of the time he's out of contention by the time he got to the first 2 bends. Does he think he did his bit for the season when he won heat 15 in the first Swindon match, cos he's done next to nothing since. The only Robins he beat last night.... Stead and Hurry..... Pathetic!!

We showed a lot of faith in him when he first came over as a struggling reserve a few years ago, pretty much carrying him for a whole season while he found his feet. And now he's almost worse than he was then.

If he's one of the "exciting rider assets" that Bob is hoping to tempt a new promoter with then we might as well all give up now!!

Both of them need a good kick up the rear end by Bob and/or Trevor and a reminder of what is expected from them and that their current level of performance is just not acceptable.

on the night they had two genuine heatleaders . we had lewis and lukas , as our only possible contenders . lukas beat adams twice , thought only nicky could do that . the forecast by experts at the beginning of the season suddenly does not seem so ridiculous . for the last three seasons we have fallen apart in the middle of the season . as posted previously we must all be thoroughly fed up  losing riders to other commitments on saturdays . can understand the attendances dwindling . a long way to travel , a lot of money to pay , for what at this time ?! agree about out two aussies , actually found it rather embarrasing as well as very disappointing .when my wife's health improves i intend to attend at least once more . if it is as bad as last night , it will indeed be the last .
if a new promoter is found he must lead us another way , with all the above and the chicanery with the elite it is possible others feel the same about a repeat of the seasons since cook left . never appreciated him before , still not that keen on him personally as seems unintrested in the fans . well those since aren't either .
the only chance , if we get one is to go premier . the attendances will likely increase too . if we get a chance .
some posted they would accept defeat as well as our riders fought hard . well too many didn't , the apathy seems to be affecting them too . Sad

Apart from Lewis, Lukas and Simon in his last race, the rest of the team were pathetic. Shocked  Davey Watt just seems to be going through the motions, and Cam's form  has dipped alarmingly. Ricky one good race, and that is it. On this performance what new promoter would want to come in.  Question It seems that the attitude of most of the riders, BD is going at the end of the season, so why I should  bother. It is a sad reflection on what used to be great racing at Arlington.  Shocked Knew Lukas was unavailable for next Saturday, but did not know Watt would be away. Hopefully will get some good replacements, but as averages are so low, not much available. We desperately need a number 1, but I would bnet nothing will happen. Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad

I dont think they are really bothered to tell the truth. BD by his own admission admits he cannot give the time or inclination to promote the club fully and Trevors not capable. And they wonder why fans are drifting away, well theyve put up with r/r for 3 seasons now, the team falling away mid season, with no replacements being made or appears sought.  I believe now they cant be bothered either....sadly Crying or Very sad I feel sorry for the die hard fans that tuned up last night despite it being on Sky to support their team they deserve better from a club who proudly state 80 years of speedway at Eastbourne on their shirts.
